A Fresh Take on Casual Dining
Nancy Young Mosny and her daughter Alaina Young founded Q Squared in 2011 with the mission to bring a fresh approach to casual dining. They believe that every home should enjoy beautiful designs with ease. They turned to melamine, a durable, versatile material, to create beautiful and resilient pieces. Using only 100% high-quality melamine, they designed dinnerware and serveware that looked and felt like porcelain and ceramic, but were also durable and practical for everyday use.
Q Squared is now considered "the pioneer of superior quality melamine” and has set the industry standard for safety, quality and design. Known for its signature collection of textured whiteware, Q Squared also offers an ever-growing collection of nautical, rustic, modern and floral designs on a range of tableware pieces, from melamine plates and bowls, to platters and trays. All Q Squared products are dishwasher-safe, scratch-resistant, virtually unbreakable, and easy to use, making them the best dinnerware choice for both indoor and outdoor dining and entertaining.
Their mission to constantly improve the dining experience has led them to pursue further innovation in the world of melamine dinnerware. The introduction of "Melaboo" - a melamine and bamboo hybrid has truly set them apart in the industry. The result is a beautiful material that is eco-friendly and looks like artisanal pottery, while still maintaining the durable features of melamine.
Q Squared's award-winning tableware has been featured in national publications and television programs, including The View, House Beautiful, HGTV Magazine, Good Housekeeping, Coastal Living, Hamptons Magazine and Good Morning Texas. Consistently recognized as the best melamine in the market, Q Squared has set the standard for designer melamine for many years to come.
Why the name Q Squared?
The "Q" is for Queen and "Squared" is for our two founders. We know it sounds a bit nerdy (there is a Star Trek book called Q Squared after all), but we like that it's a bit different, quirky and hopefully memorable.
