Nancy Young Mosny
Founder & Managing Partner
Many roads traveled brought Nancy to co-found Q Squared with her daughter Alaina. First off, Nancy's career started as an editor at a premier fashion and beauty magazine, and she eventually made her way to opening her own home accessories retail store. "Elegance with ease" was her common theme throughout, and now at Q Squared, Nancy's skills focus on daily duties that include inspiring the team and being the first to say "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" while uncorking the wine.
Founder & Creative Director
Alaina draws from (get it!) her worldly upbringing and studies in Art History to create the designs that are uniquely Q Squared. As Creative Director, Alaina oversees all the visual aspects of the company, including product design and brand imagery. Originally from NYC, Alaina began her career in TV/Film production design, but made the move to Q Squared when her mother Nancy said "please?" Alaina likes to spend her spare time binge-watching Netflix, cuddling with her two doggies Molly & Oliver, and trying to figure out what she's going to wear next.
Karen M. Scanlon
Channeling her love for bullet points and timelines, Karen brings her meticulous attention to detail to her role as managing director. Before landing at Q Squared in 2011, Karen studied philosophy at NYU, taught English in Japan, and earned her master’s degree from the University of Manchester. Now she happily spends her free time playing with her shih-poo C.C., bookmarking recipes to try at home and shamelessly reading YA dystopian novels.
Sales Operations Manager
Zheng (pronounced "Zen") joined the Q Squared Team in 2014 as Manager of Sales & Operations. Hailing from Toledo, Ohio and graduating from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Sciences, Zheng has transitioned from saving lives as an EMT to saving tabletops across America. Besides Melamine, some of Zheng's favorite things include hanging out with his dog KC, exploring delicious foods, and of course the Cleveland Browns.
